Isn't it ironic...?

Forgive me if I am pulling an Alanis and misunderstanding the definition of irony, but is it not ironic that on the same day that Muhammad Yunus, Bangladesh's microcredit hero, accepted his Nobel Peace Prize, the army was deployed into the streets of his native country?
